Australia is the thirteenth largest economy in the world. The cost of living in this nation is also very expensive. In fact, as of 2011, Perth is considered to be the 26th most expensive city in the world! Of the top thirty most expensive cities in the world, Australia has six on the list – Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, & Adelaide. That said, the Shadburne’s need to raise a little over $10,000 a month in monthly pledges and some $24,000 in one-time expenses. This covers such costs as our salary, housing, utilities, health/evacuation insurance, administration fees, ministry expenses, intensive pre-field training to prepare us for Australia, and travel/moving to the field.
To put it plainly, we need your gracious financial gifts in order to live in Perth and minister to the people of Australia! We cannot do this without your support. Actually this is why we call it a partnership- between you and us. By investing in this ministry and giving financially you are actually advancing God’s kingdom and the love of Christ in Australia!
